Delhi nursery admission points calculator

Choose a Delhi school and calculate the points supported by SaplingSky's verified 2026-27 historical criteria. The calculator asks only the questions required by that school and uses the distance logic supported by the verified source data.

Historical points are planning evidence, not a prediction or a 2027-28 rule. New-cycle school criteria replace them only after verification.

How Delhi nursery admission points actually work

There is no single Delhi-wide nursery points table that can be safely applied to every school. A school may award points for neighbourhood or distance, a sibling already studying there, a parent-alumni connection, girl child, staff ward, first born or another criterion in its own published matrix. The wording, value and supporting documents can differ from one school to the next.

That is why this tool begins with the school rather than a generic questionnaire. Once you select a school, SaplingSky uses the verified criteria attached to that school's historical admission record. If a criterion is not supported by the school's verified matrix, the calculator should not award points for it merely because another Delhi school does.

How to interpret your calculated score

Treat the result as a way to understand your fit with a school's verified historical rules—not as a probability of admission. A score does not tell you how many other applicants will have the same score, whether a draw of lots will be required, how a school will resolve ties, or whether the school will alter its criteria for 2027-28.

The most useful next step is comparative: calculate the schools you are seriously considering, see which criteria drive your score, check the school profile for provenance, and then replace the historical assumption with the 2027-28 notice as soon as that school publishes it and SaplingSky verifies it.

Distance points need the school's rule, not just a map

A distance measurement becomes admission points only through the school's published criteria. SaplingSky keeps those two questions separate: the distance calculator helps measure a route, while the selected school's verified matrix determines whether that distance earns points and under which band.

What changes for 2027-28?

The calculator currently uses verified 2026-27 historical school criteria where available because most schools have not yet published their 2027-28 points notices. When a school's 2027-28 criteria are published and verified, that current-cycle evidence should supersede the historical matrix for current planning. The old record can still be useful for comparison, but it should remain clearly dated.

Delhi nursery admission points calculator FAQ

Is there one Delhi nursery admission points formula for every school?

No. Schools can publish different criteria, point values and distance bands. SaplingSky calculates against the verified matrix for the selected school rather than applying one generic formula to every Delhi school.

Does a higher points score guarantee nursery admission?

No. A points score is not a selection guarantee or admission probability. Selection can depend on the school’s current-cycle rules, the applicant pool, tie-breaking or draw-of-lots procedures, category rules and other published conditions.

Which admission year does this calculator use?

Until a school’s 2027-28 criteria are published and verified, the calculator uses SaplingSky’s verified 2026-27 historical criteria for that school as planning evidence. Current 2027-28 school criteria will take precedence once verified.

How does the calculator treat distance?

Distance is handled according to the selected school’s verified criteria. Where the published rule uses distance bands, SaplingSky applies the relevant verified logic instead of assuming one citywide kilometre band.

Can I calculate points for a specific Delhi school?

Yes. Select a school from the picker. If SaplingSky has a verified historical points table for that school, the tool asks the relevant questions and calculates only the supported criteria. If no verified table is available, it does not invent a score.
