Delhi nursery admission seats 2027-28 and seat matrix
A school's total entry-level intake matters, but the total alone is not the parent's effective competition pool. General, EWS/DG/CWSN, management/discretionary and other school-published allocations can reduce or reshape the seats available through a particular route.
with verified 2026-27 Nursery / Pre-School / Bal Vatika seat totals in the current SaplingSky dataset.
historical entry-level seats represented across those 52 verified school-cycle rows.
The middle verified school in this limited 2026-27 sample. The observed range was 20 to 368 seats.
Why the seat matrix matters more than one total
Within the 52-school verified sample, the 25th percentile was about 95 seats and the 75th percentile was 200 seats. That spread is useful context, but it should not be used as a Delhi-wide estimate because SaplingSky has not yet verified seat totals for every school. For an individual application, the school's own category allocation is more important than the citywide distribution.
2027-28 figures are not carried forward
The 7,421-seat figure is historical 2026-27 evidence from the verified subset only. A school's 2027-28 seat count or category split will appear on SaplingSky only after an official current-cycle source is verified.
What parents should check on each school profile
Check the entry class, total seats, category allocations, admission criteria and whether the published figure applies to the same campus where your child is applying. SaplingSky school profiles label historical seat evidence separately from current-cycle notices.
Dataset note: 52 verified, current 2026-27 admission-cycle rows with a non-null seat count and an entry-level class label matching Nursery, Pre-School or Bal Vatika. This is not a complete census of Delhi school seats. Return to the 2027-28 parent guide.
